As
a means of sharing my recent work from Central America and expanding my
professional horizons I took it upon myself to do two exhibitions and
create a small line of greeting (blank note) cards. As each part of these
projects became a physical reality I got an emotional boost and a feeling
of accomplishment that I had not expected.
My show in Tucson was the fulfillment of a goal/dream from many years
prior. It was held at a professional photo lab that has displayed the
work of some renowned photographers. Many times I thought, "Someday, someday
my work will be on these walls..." That 'someday' finally came to pass
and it was a great feeling of completion. I will take this opportunity
to thank the friendly staff at PhotographicWorks Lab for their service
over the years and particularly for hosting my exhibition and reception.
Revamping and updating
my website with non-digital images was a time-consuming but rewarding
task. Editing several thousand images and digitizing a few hundred could
not have been done without the help of my new webmaster, artist and designer;
Jeff Short, a.k.a., Todd Benson (toddbenson.com)
My friend and associate, Michael Bennett was instrumental in the planning
and execution of the aforementioned projects. Thanks Michael!
And I would certainly be remiss if I were not to mention: The greeting
cards (Los Ninos Latinos, a package of 10 different cards) and many signed
prints are available for purchase here (store).
