Just
like Americans have a hard time
rolling their tongue for the double 'R' sound in Spanish,
Latinos have difficulty with the 'sc' sound at the beginning
of a word. So my friend Scott introduces himself as 'Eh-scott'.
That's how they will say it anyway, so why make them struggle? |

Scott
traveled with me before in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
(See Cheating
Death 1) He arrived to join me in La Paz just
in time to help me chose and purchase my Baby Blue
replacement vehicle. |

He also
helped me to 'get back on the road' mentally. His adventurous
spirit always pushes me to things I wouldn't do if I were
alone. (See upcoming entry: Most Dangerous Road) The downside
(if you could call it that) is that I have so much fun I
don't take the time to write any journal entries. I will
catch up eventually... |
