I've
written before about Majagual and the secluded paradise
of the private cove and beach. Paul, the proprietor of
the resort is an Aussie who sold everything to follow
his dream on the beach here. However, selling everything
apparently did not provide quite enough working capital.
It operates on a shoestring and is a half a dozen stars
short of a 5-star rating. What can you expect for seven
dollars a night? Upscale camping would be a good description.
These are not complaints, mind you, I love this place,
in spite of the 10 mile bumpy dirt road to get here.
|
Paul
has a small gang of local employees including his
live-in girlfriend of a year and a half, Danni.
The other employees are mostly young women who seem
to come and go quickly. They are friendly and flirtatious
including and especially Danni. |
|
Paul shocked me when he asked if I wanted to take Danni
with me to Costa Rica. How extraordinarily cordial of
my host, I thought, to offer to share his woman with me!
But no. It seems that Paul and Danni have grown weary
of each other and Danni's mother won't take her back into
the house so she (and he) are kinda stuck. Nonetheless,
I still appreciated the gesture, even though I would become
the one with the obligation.
 |
Paul is in a bit of hurry to find a home for her
because he is already in the process of replacing
her with a younger prettier version. And things
could be getting a little tense under the peaceful
veranda on the beach. Things are never simple, even
in paradise.
